It takes longer for foot injuries to heal because we never stop using our feet!

When sitting use a firm chair with a straight back, maintain an adequate lordosis (using a lumbar roll will help support your low back).

Knees can see forces from 2 up to 5 times your body weight with physical activity. By losing 10 pounds you can take 30 pounds of force off your knees.

about us:

How We're Different

When you walk in the door at Ridgefield Physical Therapy you feel immediately at home.  We are long standing members of the community, and we make every effort to make you feel relaxed and comfortable.  While our main goal is to help you recover from whatever injury or physical condition has caused you to seek physical therapy, we are also focused on helping create a safe pathway for you to improve function and gain self-reliance.  We achieve that by educating you about your condition, and teaching you how to self-manage your pain and properly execute the exercises we recommend.  We do this with great care and compassion and always with an eye toward safety.

Our team of physical therapists is highly trained and qualified in each of their areas of specialty, so you can be confident in the level of expertise and experience of your therapist. Moreover, most of our team has been with us for many years, so you will build an ongoing relationship with a therapist who understands your condition and your limitations and will set you on a path of progress. The continuity of seeing the same therapist for each of your visits is critical for achieving better results. Unlike many centers that try to get you in and out the door quickly, we take the time to get to know you and help support you through the process of recovery.

In addition to our highly qualified staff, we feature state-of-the-art equipment.  We take advantage of all the latest developments in the field to provide optimal service to all our patients.
